Randy H.: From Drug Dealer to World Traveler on the Road to Sobriety

This is a miracle, and it's all because I took and I followed some suggestions and I did those steps and I just took some suggestions and got a sponsor and hung out with the right people and did the right step and finally got that spiritual connection and got that thing that I was looking for the whole time.
Imagine living two decades in the throes of addiction, only to emerge stronger and more fulfilled than ever. That's the story of Randy H., who spent 20 years entangled in drug dealing, alcoholism, and substance abuse. At just 18, Randy left his parents' home and began selling drugs to support his escalating habit. His journey took him to Mexico, where he sank deeper into addiction, consuming large quantities of cocaine and alcohol daily. But life had other plans for Randy.
After a car accident and a profound spiritual awakening, he found the courage to change. Randy turned to AA and the 12 steps, finding the support and guidance he desperately needed. Now 15 years sober, Randy's life is a testament to resilience and transformation. He has traveled to places like Machu Picchu, Uganda, and Mount Kilimanjaro, sharing his message of hope and gratitude. His story highlights the power of recovery and the strength of the human spirit.
Tune in to hear Randy's incredible journey on The SHAIR Recovery Podcast.
