Really it's not just some person that's homeless and that are the you know down and out, and all that anyone can literally die from an overdose and people on drugs that we don't even realize they're on drugs that you're dealing with Every Single Day.
Imagine losing your child and feeling like you're drifting through life. That's Annie's reality after her son Josh passed away in January 2019 at the age of 33. Ten years before, a car accident led to Josh being prescribed a 30-day supply of Vicodin, which quickly spiraled into addiction. Annie describes the rollercoaster of Josh's active addiction—the rehabs, the lies, the heartache—and how it forever altered their family's lives.
Now, Annie is planning to walk part of the Camino de Santiago in Spain to honor Josh's memory. Through her grief, she has found solace in seeking support and connecting with others who understand her pain. In this episode, Annie shares her story, offering advice for those grappling with similar losses and emphasizing the importance of community.
Her journey is a poignant reminder that while the pain of losing a loved one never truly fades, finding ways to honor their memory can provide a path toward healing.
