Hope Ahead: A Podcast on Addiction and Mental Health Challenges

Hope Ahead is a podcast series that talks about addiction and mental health challenges faced by individuals. Hosted by The Virtue Center, Oklahoma's oldest outpatient treatment center for substance use disorders, problem gambling and related mental health challenges, this series brings together inspiring stories of hope, healing, and recovery from people who have faced the challenge head-on.
The podcast covers a wide range of topics related to addiction - ranging from personal journeys of sobriety to discussions around stigma surrounding addiction. It also sheds light on how family members are impacted by addiction in their loved ones.
Listeners will hear powerful stories shared by survivors who have battled through the toughest times of their lives. They discuss issues such as PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) that often accompany substance abuse disorder. The show addresses misconceptions about these issues while providing insights into the importance of forgiveness when one is grappling with these issues.
