Picture this: you’re lying in a hospital bed, half your usual weight, unable to stand, and facing the reality that your drinking habits have brought you here for the sixth time. That was Steve Pereira’s wake-up call. Growing up in Leicester, Steve had dreams of acting and singing, but alcohol derailed his life. His addiction led to the loss of his computer shop and a devastating cardiac arrest that required open-heart surgery.
During his recovery, Steve thought of his three little nieces and the dreams he had abandoned. Determined to be a role model, he vowed to turn his life around. With the unwavering support of his family, Steve moved to Dubai to start fresh. Today, he’s not only sober but also pursuing his passion for acting, having appeared in well-known TV series.
