Jerry Llewellyn's Story of Recovery: From Prison to the Power of Alcoholics Anonymous

It tells us in the big book of alcoholics anonymous that we don't chase after them and try to make them do this and make them do that. The pain is theirs if they don't want to do something different.
Jerry Llewellyn's story is nothing short of inspiring. From his early teenage years, he struggled with addiction and found himself in and out of the criminal justice system. But it wasn't until he found himself in prison that he hit rock bottom. Jerry's journey of recovery started in the penitentiary when he was introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). It was there that he learned how to love and have compassion for others.
He admits that he was the way he was because people didn't treat him the way he should have been treated. But AA taught him that he needed to treat others the way they should be treated, regardless of how they treated him. This was a turning point for Jerry. He realized that he had to change his behavior if he wanted to change his life.
He learned how to take responsibility for his actions and how to make amends for the harm he had caused others. Jerry's story is a testament to the transformative power of AA. It shows that no matter how far down the scale we have gone, we can recover if we are willing to work for it.
Listen to Jerry Llewellyn's full story of recovery on alcoholfree.com and learn how AA can help you or someone you love overcome addiction and find a new way of life.
