I tell people all the time when I talk to family members, and I think what you just said is super important for people to understand. When you're talking to somebody who's using or has recently used and they're wanting to go back to using, you are talking to the diseased part of their brain that is completely under control of the addiction, right? They might yell or cuss at you. So it's really important to separate the addiction from the person because the person is not the addiction.
