I didn't think anything about that except I thought he was a poor driver of his tractor at night. So I was in and out of Al-Anon. In South Alabama in 1978, Al-Anon was made up of women who were married to the men that went to the AA meeting that met at the same time in a room at that same church. So when I really identified with the message, I didn't really identify with the messengers.
