Lou T's Remarkable 40-Year Journey to Sobriety

I always gave god a stipulation instead of just asking him to help me...when my wife was passing, I was visiting her in the hospital and I knew that she was going to go out, and I kept coming back to the meetings. I haven't had a drink and I have not had the desire to drink.

Imagine finding yourself at the Frankfurt International AA Meeting in 2012. That's where Lou T, with 40 years of sobriety under his belt, shares his riveting story. From his early days of heavy drinking to cope with life's difficulties to his time in the military where he struggled with alcoholism, Lou's journey is anything but ordinary. He candidly talks about how Alcoholics Anonymous played a pivotal role in his transformation.

With the support of a higher power and the AA community, Lou navigated through life's toughest moments, including the heartbreaking loss of his wife. His story is a testament to the power of resilience and community support in achieving lasting sobriety. Tune in to this episode of Sober Cast to hear Lou's inspiring tale and find motivation for your own journey.
