Honesty and Adam Liller: Navigating Marriage and Recovery Together

For me, the biggest thing is just doing what we do every day. We got to take pictures of ourselves with Elvis because Elvis, I guess, performed there. You know both of us, but we're not doing a helicopter, but I'll do the other stuff. I do what I can, and it's not just necessarily because my life is busy, because I don't like using that anymore. I use that for years as an excuse because it was busy. But I just still do step with other things.
How do you maintain a strong marriage while navigating the challenges of long-term recovery? In this episode of 'Get In The Herd', host Nathan Mitchell sits down with Honesty Liller, CEO of The McShin Foundation, and her husband, Adam Liller, to celebrate Honesty's impressive 14 years of sobriety. The couple dives into their personal journey, shedding light on the trials and triumphs they've faced together.
Honesty candidly shares how her roles as a wife and mother intertwine with her recovery process. Adam adds his perspective on supporting a partner through the ups and downs of addiction recovery. They discuss the importance of doing the inner work to fortify their relationship and the role exercise plays in maintaining their well-being. This episode offers a heartfelt look at the complexities of relationships in recovery, emphasizing the significance of community support and personal growth.
Tune in for an inspiring conversation that underscores the power of taking life one day at a time.
