Kara's Journey: From Mediator to Mental Health Advocate

I'm actually grateful that I went through these experiences with mental health from a young age, because I feel like now I'm on such a better page of it and I'm able to help other people just through maybe sharing my experience or talking to people.
Kara's story is one that many can relate to, especially those who have found themselves caught in the crossfire of toxic relationships. Growing up, Kara was often the peacemaker between her parents and siblings, a role that took a toll on her mental health. This pattern continued into her teenage years, where she found herself stuck in the middle of friendships and relationships, feeling unappreciated and undervalued.
The constant stress and lack of self-worth led Kara down a dark path, resulting in an eating disorder and self-harm. Diagnosed with body dysmorphia, anxiety, and depression, Kara's journey towards recovery was anything but easy. Yet, through seeking help and embracing self-love, she managed to turn her life around. In this episode of 'Hart to Harts', Kara opens up about her struggles and triumphs, shedding light on the importance of seeking help and the power of self-acceptance.
Her story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and serves as a beacon of hope for anyone grappling with similar issues. Tune in to hear Kara's heartfelt narrative and find inspiration in her journey towards mental wellness.
