Tim Brown's story is one of incredible bravery and resilience. As a retired FDNY firefighter, Tim survived the harrowing 9/11 terrorist attacks and lost 93 friends, including his two best friends, on that tragic day. But his journey didn't stop there. In this episode of The Allen Steele Show, Tim recounts his experiences not only during 9/11 but also as a first responder to other major incidents like the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

His last assignment with the FDNY was with Rescue Co. 3 in The Bronx, and he also served in Mayor Giuliani’s Office of Emergency Management. Tim's dedication to public service extended beyond firefighting. He was a special assistant to the Secretary of Health and Human Services during the Anthrax attacks and helped shape the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Despite facing immense trauma, Tim has turned his pain into purpose.

He speaks openly about his struggles with PTSD and his commitment to helping fellow veterans through organizations like the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. His story is a testament to the enduring spirit of first responders and the importance of community support.
