Yeah, I have a cat. I had a cat that I've had for like seven years, and he was a rescue cat, so we didn't know how old he was or anything. And he passed away on Sunday after several weeks of illness and it was really awful because he was just he was just lingering and I just wanted it to be over and yet I didn't want him to die and it was a very emotional and difficult time.
Ever wondered how childhood bullying can shape a person's life? Meet Cherie White, an anti-bullying advocate and author who turned her painful experiences into a mission to help others. In this episode of 'Stop Child Abuse Now', Cherie opens up about her journey from being a bullied child to becoming a beacon of hope for those facing similar struggles. Growing up, Cherie endured relentless bullying that left her feeling powerless and angry. She even attempted suicide at fourteen.
But instead of letting these experiences define her, she used them as fuel to fight back and reclaim her life. Cherie's story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. She not only overcame her own trauma but also became an advocate for others, using her voice to raise awareness about bullying and its devastating effects. This episode isn't just about Cherie's past; it's about the future she envisions for others like her.
Through a Q&A call-in discussion, Cherie and the hosts tackle tough questions and offer practical advice on dealing with bullying and abuse. They discuss the importance of advocacy, the challenges survivors face in finding support, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted those already struggling with trauma.
