I remember being so scared because I was so raw and it was scarier than buying a house, getting married, having babies, like doing all these things. The person that's listening and they get to this place that they say, you know what I'm ready to change, and that spirituality is brought up. I just had somebody on my show who actually talked about how she went to the 12-step program that we both were in, and the person she ended up meeting and asked to be her sponsor said to her, you need to go and get on your knees every single solitary day and you have to pray to God in the morning and to pray to God at night. So instead of going, because I think so many people don't understand the process of being so, I mean, of course, here we are decades later and being able to look at it in hindsight but no one tells you that by the way this person's not it's not a therapist like you are it's not educated it's just sitting you, and you can go and say bye that's yourself but our self-esteems are so bad right that we just say bye it's like no no can't do that. That is so incredible because that is exactly what happened to me seven years prior to actually getting sober.
