Stepping Into Freedom

This song is kind of a fun one that expresses how important it is to allow the temporal blessings God gives us to change who we are at heart. Email thepulsiphyer@gmail.com with any questions. Written reviews are also helpful on iTunes, Stitcher or Facebook Lyrics: I could learn about the stars, about the termperature of mars and about the time slippage near a black hole Find out how a lily grows, how fast a hurricane can blow and be no closer to achieving all my goals. What if I were to discover how the body can recover from a disease that makes you feel like your in a fetter Or keep the chemical levels of each system undisheveled would it do me any good or make be better? Do I relish what I know above the pianissimo of every quiet push within to be the one Who shows the outcast and the weak a good example of how to seek the things that can only with love by rightly done? No matter what you know, what you do or what you own, None of which is worth it to accrue Unless you allow it to transform you somehow It's only as good as it makes you If I told a little lie just to protect somebody's pride Or fake and opinion to make you feel good in the moment Or offered with persuasion lots of money on occasion Just to get me out of trouble with an opponent What good would it really do me if a rumor spread right through me Even if it was complete and total truth? Is honesty in a matter really worth the poison chatter of the gossip we should really all eschew? I could give a good suggestion to fix cultural indigestion That leaves so many people feeling used But how good is it really to me if my words do not renew me If I don't show that in my behavior they'll be used? No matter what you know, what you do or what you own, None of which is worth it to accrue Unless you allow it to transform you somehow It's only as good as it makes you What if I had the coolest car or the world's largest repertoire Of famous paintings and collections to extol A billion dollars in the bank or the very highest ranking In some kind of popular opinion poll What good is the highest paying job if it just turns me into a snob who thinks possessions could possibly be enough? Even if I thought I had it all, how great and heavy would be my fall if I believed that happiness is having stuff? Even the planet's greatest riches cannot scratch the human itches that can only be satisfied with proper love No matter how hard you try, your plans will always go awry If your life is just a game of push and shove. No matter what you know, what you do or what you own, None of which is worth it to accrue Unless you allow it to transform you somehow It's only as good as it makes you
