Dr. Bell speaks on another episode about Narcissism. Loving someone who is hurting you is self-sabotage. Being in a relationship with a narcissist is being in a one-sided relationship. The narcissist never contributes unless they find it to be beneficial to them. They are not emotional and cannot nurture nor give reciprocity toward anyone. The mindset of the narcissist is to satisfy themselves. In loving a narcissist, it is not beneficial to continue to love someone while their focus is on hurting you. It tears down the character of the individual that loves them.
