What would you do if you were diagnosed with a rare disease at just seven years old? For Lyon Herron, this was the beginning of a lifelong journey with Gardner Syndrome, a condition that puts him at high risk for colorectal cancer and desmoid tumors. Diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, Lyon has faced more surgeries and medical procedures than most people can imagine.
But what sets his story apart is his unwavering positive mindset and the incredible support from his community. Lyon's battle with Gardner Syndrome has been anything but easy. He's undergone numerous surgeries, including the removal of a six-pound tumor, and has tried everything from stem cell therapy to immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Along the way, he also discovered the pitfalls of addiction but managed to turn his life around when his health took a severe downturn.
