In sobriety, outside of sobriety, I try to help others, whatever that looks like and whatever that is for the you know for Each Day, and it's I'm coming to a place of comfort where I'm like, I am learning to care less of what others think about, what I'm doing, to keep me going yep and to not.
What would you do if you were diagnosed with a rare disease at just seven years old? For Lyon Herron, this was the beginning of a lifelong journey with Gardner Syndrome, a condition that puts him at high risk for colorectal cancer and desmoid tumors. Diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, Lyon has faced more surgeries and medical procedures than most people can imagine.
But what sets his story apart is his unwavering positive mindset and the incredible support from his community. Lyon's battle with Gardner Syndrome has been anything but easy. He's undergone numerous surgeries, including the removal of a six-pound tumor, and has tried everything from stem cell therapy to immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Along the way, he also discovered the pitfalls of addiction but managed to turn his life around when his health took a severe downturn.
One of the most fascinating aspects of Lyon's journey is his exploration of alternative healing methods. He even traveled to Brazil to see a healer named John Of God, witnessing some extraordinary treatments that broadened his perspective on medicine. Throughout his ordeal, Lyon has learned that the mind can be a powerful ally in the healing process. His story highlights the importance of resilience, determination, and having a strong support system.
