I started being open to these different ways of thinking. I didn't want to look that I was selling poison to people's family members. I'm trying to spend the rest of my life giving back to society.
Imagine feeling so anxious and tense that the only relief you find is through experimenting with marijuana and alcohol. That was Morgan Dimmitt's reality. In this episode, Morgan joins Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley to share his gripping story of battling addiction and finding a way out. Growing up with a vigilant relationship with his brother, Morgan's anxiety led him down a path of substance abuse.
He talks about how sports became his outlet in high school, but a physical altercation landed him with over a thousand hours of community service. Things took a darker turn when an addiction to pain medication spiraled into heroin use. Morgan doesn't hold back as he recounts his time in prison after being arrested for drugs. He vividly describes the first time he managed to say no to drugs, a pivotal moment in his journey.
