Joey's Path to Sobriety: Finding Hope in the LGBTQ+ Community

I love rehab, I love showing up and working on me and figuring out how I can be better, and I think a lot of people are unable to have that mindset, especially when, at the bottom or at the height of their addiction, it's all dark and they can't see the way out.

Joey's story is a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative power of community support. Starting his journey with substance use at the tender age of 10, Joey faced a tumultuous path that led him to the Pride Institute. It was here, amidst a supportive LGBTQ+ environment, that Joey found the strength and resources to turn his life around.

Sober since June 2, 2021, Joey's optimism shines through as he recounts his experiences and the pivotal decision to stay in treatment. His journey underscores the importance of self-work, growth, and a robust support system in overcoming addiction. This episode is a beacon of hope for anyone struggling with addiction, showcasing the profound impact of specialized care and community support.
