Alcoholics drink. People with drinking problems drink. People with an alcohol use disorder drink. People who are addicted to alcohol drink. But on the flip side to that, alcoholics quit drinking every day. People who are physically addicted to alcohol break those chains every day. I've been doing this for almost a decade and everyone has the capacity to quit drinking.
Ever wondered if you could quit drinking when it feels impossible? In this episode of 'Recovery Elevator', hosts Paul Churchill and Kristopher Oyen sit down with Ryan, a 33-year-old from Orange County, New York, who recently took his last drink on September 24th, 2023. Ryan opens up about his battle with alcohol, from using it as a crutch to facing the severe health repercussions that followed.
His story is raw and real, filled with moments of struggle and setbacks, but also resilience and triumph. Ryan's journey is a powerful reminder that quitting drinking isn't a one-time event; it's a daily commitment. Paul shares his own experiences and offers strategies to help those feeling stuck, emphasizing the importance of taking it one day at a time.
This episode dives into the emotional rollercoaster of addiction and recovery, highlighting the significance of finding joy, purpose, and connection in life. It's a heartfelt conversation that underscores the strength within each person to overcome their battles with the right support and mindset.
