“I've been blessed and truly blessed to go to conventions, AA conventions, not just here in the UK, but abroad as well. I've met some wonderful people and been to some wonderful places. For a guy who was a hopeless, helpless alcoholic, this year already I've done three conventions. I've got another four lined up between now and the end of May. I'm not bragging or boasting. I'm asking myself, how did that happen for a hopeless, helpless alky like me? The gifts are just too many, but all I have is right here, right now, the capacity and the ability to just live in the here and the now. That's a gift.”
