I really strongly believe that there's kind of like this balancing act going on. Like you're too lenient and you're too soft. And so because you're too lenient and you're too soft, I have to be harder. So I have to be the hard person. And then you're looking at me like you're way too hard and this isn't going to work. So I have to be the soft person, right? So you end up with these really, really extreme ends of the spectrum.

Family dynamics can get pretty tangled when addiction is involved, especially when everyone has a different idea about the best way to help. In this episode of 'Coming Up for Air', the hosts dive into the tricky waters of using the CRAFT method when not everyone is on the same page. You'll hear real stories about families struggling to agree on intervention tactics, making it clear that this isn't a one-size-fits-all situation.

The episode doesn't shy away from the hard stuff—like dealing with resistance and finding common ground—but it also shines a light on the power of consistency and education. By sticking to the CRAFT principles and looking for teachable moments, even the most divided families can find a way to support their loved ones. Whether you're dealing with pushback from other family members or just trying to keep everyone on track, this episode offers practical advice and a lot of heart.

It's all about creating a more connected, supportive environment, one step at a time.
