“I'm almost 48. I look back at the last two years of my life, I had an ex pass away from this disease. I left my corporate job, almost went bankrupt, dealt with a stalker, came to terms with my sexuality, got into a relationship with an amazing woman, but also am now basically adopted three girls with mental health issues, hospitalized one of them. My last two years have been more than the average person could handle, but I have been managing it, even though there's been some really dark periods, because of the foundation that I've built in recovery. And part of that is just being vulnerable, and being able to openly talk about it on the show with my safe community. And we need to start talking about it because there's days when I'm not okay and that's okay and that's totally okay.”
