“I knew he was going to miss it. Useless prick.”
Saturday, the 5th of October 2024, was a rollercoaster for Luke Hand. The day started with tending to the animals and then riding over to the Civic Green to help set up the Multicultural Festival. Despite the gloomy weather, the festival drew a great crowd with plenty of food vans and lively performances. Luke's volunteer efforts were rewarded with a food voucher, which he eagerly exchanged for some mouth-watering Indonesian goreng noodles. Yum!
After a busy morning, Luke headed home for a much-needed nap but woke up feeling pretty down. His mood hit a low point, and he took his dog for a walk to clear his head. During the walk, he stumbled upon Dan Tehan MP playing golf and witnessed him miss a putt from just 10 cm away. Luke couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, even though he wished he'd caught it on camera.
To wrap up the day, he made some delicious pita bread pizza for dinner. Despite his low mood and energy levels, there were still moments of gratitude and humour sprinkled throughout his day. This episode offers a candid look into Luke's daily life, complete with its ups and downs, and reminds us that even on tough days, there are small joys to be found.
