Mental Obsession Discussion / Emotional Sobriety
- We Know Jack.
Sobriety is sanity for any compulsive behavior. Emotional sobriety is sane living. Recovery from compulsive symptoms is not a cure for the mental illness of addiction. What blind obsessive faith tried to obscure becomes clear in sobriety. To think fantasy is truth is to mistakenly think thought creates reality. Thus as reality’s creator we think we become the thoughts we fixate on trying in vain to reverse nature’s order. The impossibility of looking through this lens has Life‘s possibilities only seem impossible. Obsessively maintaining this impression is depressing. Lies, like egocentric self-centered thoughts, are only imagined to exist. Illusions thought real are delusional. Reactive, impulsive and compulsive behaviors are obsessive distractions trying to excuse the wrong we’re thinking. Focusing on these behaviors ignores the cause. Overdosing on any attachment to feel better about what is wrong is common since ignoring the mental problem has it grow. All our bodily systems are undermined by the pressure and stress created by this insane effort. Blame and fault admit our fault and guilt. Mental anguish, inner conflict and emotional turmoil offer perspective that something we’re thinking is wrong. We are not offering hope to overcome anything, or feel better about what is wrong. Coming to terms with problems honestly dis-solves them rather than failing and flailing about in re-solutions. We have no licenses, degrees, diplomas, or authority beyond our experience that qualifies us for this discussion. We are not here to argue or tell the truth. We do not pose as academics or propose any scientific thesis, medical diagnosis, prognosis, prescription, cure, discipline, or philosophy. Our discussion is not partisan or a replacement for, or in opposition to, any person, place or thing. It is not a religion, theology, practice, therapy, protocol, cure or propose any ritual. It is suggested you take direction from anyone responsible that you are free to rely on or are under the care of including professionals. We do not suggest suspending skepticism of any questionable idea or authority. Our discussion does not ask for understanding, belief, faith, trust, hope, or agreement. Considering what you read and hear is like learning how well shoes fit by walking in them. First impressions are not always reliable. Waking thought to what we know confirms our nature is at peace. The seeming dark fractured mental states experienced during chronic flurries of obsessive thoughts act as perfect guides to what we are doing now. Self Realization and Self Actualization is seeing what is actually happening as it is happening. Humility honestly concedes things are as they are no matter what is thought of them. Our functional literacy and capacity is determined by how well we read our body language. Nature and it’s laws are function’s guide as are the consequences of circumstance. Our nature is abundant, useful, valuable and generous since we are sourced in the essential essence of a Loving Absolute Knowing Awareness. Introducing thought to what we actually know provides a basis for mental stability rather than desperation. We are accurate observers of our experience or we would not hurt or feel guilt and shame. If you struggle with obsessive thinking you know it though you may not think so or know why. Introducing what we actually know to how and what we think is what we talk about. There are no "have to", "must do" or "should do’s". This is not a new way of redoing but allowing chronic tendencies to be undone as they are seen clearly as they are and as they are not. Our episodes have no shelf-life - since our focus is principled they all reflect the current nature of all events. We welcome you as you are now so how you think or feel does not effect our welcome.
