Luke Hand's Tough Day: Work Frustrations and Unexpected Decisions

I’ve completely struck out on getting any tlc from a chick through the usual apps, posts, etc. Route. So I’m going to have to hire a sex worker for a gfe. Even the thought of sex work is triggering for me usually. So it’s not going to be as quick as opening the yellow pages and making a call, but it should be quicker than no matches or no dates through apps etc. So I guess it has to be done. Ugh will definitely be awkward if it happens.
Ever felt like the universe was conspiring against you? Luke Hand certainly did in this episode. He starts his day buried under a mountain of work, feeling the weight of every task. It's one of those days where nothing seems to go right, and Luke's frustration nearly brings him to tears. Missing his pills and not eating until late only adds to the chaos, making him feel like he's losing his mind.
But amidst the madness, there's a silver lining: a walk with his mum and Ash, and the return of those soothing frog sounds he loves. Luke also opens up about something deeply personal and challenging. After striking out on dating apps and posts, he's considering hiring a sex worker for a GFE (girlfriend experience). This decision isn't easy for him; the idea of sex work usually triggers him, making it a tough call.
Yet, he's weighing it against the endless waiting and disappointment from online dating. It's a raw and honest moment that highlights the complexities of human needs and desires. Despite the day's hurdles, Luke finds a small way to lift his spirits by ordering himself a present. It's a reminder that even on the toughest days, self-care can take many forms. Through his candid reflections, Luke offers listeners a glimpse into the real struggles of maintaining sobriety and mental health.
His vulnerability is both relatable and inspiring, making this episode a must-listen for anyone facing similar challenges or seeking a bit of comfort in their own journey.
