For me, the reason I say that was the hardest to give up is because I was so attached to... a dysfunctional character defect that I wanted to hang on to that rather than do the work of being accountable for myself and letting go of blame and dealing and healing with what I really needed to face up to.
Imagine battling the same personal demons for 18 years. That’s the reality for Simone, a long-time member of Alcoholics Anonymous, who opens up about her struggle with character defects in this episode of the SoberQ podcast. Simone doesn’t just gloss over the surface; she dives deep into her battle with resentment, a powerful emotion that can derail even the most determined recovery efforts.
Her candid reflections provide a raw and real look at what it takes to confront and eventually let go of these damaging traits. Whether you’re new to AA or have been around the block a few times, Simone’s story offers valuable lessons on personal growth and healing.
