Thursday, 1st of August, 2024, was quite the day for Luke Hand. He kicked things off with a couple of coffees at a local spot, easily recognisable by the mural of Jude on the shop front. The day took an unexpected turn when he popped into Miss Kit without an appointment and got some waxing done.

Ever the multi-tasker, Luke then picked up a washboard from Vinnie's with plans to record some skiffle music – a genre that's as quirky as it sounds! He even snagged some thumb picks from the music shop to complete his musical endeavour. The book he's currently reading is a memoir by a local poet, which sparked some nostalgia when the poet mentioned an area farmer who turned out to be one of Luke's former residents from his aged care job.

It's indeed a small world, and these connections made him miss his old residents. The afternoon was filled with productive chores like cleaning the deck with a broom and power washer. The highlight of the day was a visit from [REDACTED]. They enjoyed a pleasant walk around the river and took in a beautiful sunset together. Luke's mood was a solid 7.5, and his energy level matched at 7.
