Tools When Disturbed or Agitated: A Christian Meditation on Sober Meditations

I think many times we're all just playing in the sandbox, getting upset when someone messes up what we're doing or when someone doesn't want to play like we want to in the sandbox and a little sister comes in and destroys what we're building. And it's so upsetting. But in reality it's no big deal. But we have compassion for our children in those situations, just like our higher power has compassion for us.
Sober Meditations is a 100% free app with contemplative meditations recorded by recovering alcoholics. In this episode, Buddy C guides listeners through a Christian meditation on the tools to use when feeling disturbed or agitated. Buddy C invites listeners to sit back in a comfortable position and breathe deeply, allowing their bodies to relax.
The meditation focuses on returning to a childlike attitude in our dependence upon our Higher Power and trusting in our Higher Power to provide for our needs. Buddy C emphasizes the importance of surrendering to a Higher Power and learning to let go of control, allowing ourselves to be guided towards the next right action. The episode concludes with a reminder to have compassion for ourselves and others.
