For example, let's say I believe that I am a separate object, independent from everything that is here. Then I'm going to operate on the basis of that, aren't I? I want to make sure that nothing comes to hurt that separate me, or I'm going to, so I'm going to fight to protect the separate me, or I'm going to try and get things that give the separate me some kind of perceived happiness or pleasure, and that's all based on the limited or the misunderstanding of what me is, and I don't have access to real deep satisfaction because my awareness is not open to that.
