“I get to heal by accepting love. That's the acceptance. Can I accept love inside of that awareness of betrayal and hate and mercilessness and just absolute treacherousness that happened as a young child and a young adult and a young woman? Can I go ahead and be aware and allow myself to feel the pain of that agony, of that distrust and betrayal, and just the nonsensical things that should not. I say should, as if I know something, but happened.”
